New Ring?

My old OS 60 szh decided to break a piston skirt and after taking it apart every thing inside looks great no scoring of the walls or piston ring so I am thinking of just buy a new piston and put the old ring on it. Course I will put new ring clips on. Then engine has bout 10 gal of fuel through it and not run very hard, FAI and learning stuff mainly. What do y'all think.

I suppose you meant wrist pin clips instead of ring clips?
Buy a new piston and ring, and use a piece of 1200 grit wet/dry paper to knock the glaze off the inside of the cylinder to help the new ring seat.
