Dx7 no motor response

I have dx7 with the align speed control on a trex 450 se and my problem is when i try to spool it up the motor goes a couple teeth and stops the begins to wine for a couple seconds then nothing. This is all new stuff and i dont know what to do next. i have tried a new speed control with the same result.

Sounds like there is something in a bind.

You might want to check the gear mesh between the pinion and main gear.

Yeah check the main gear and pinion mesh. Also, check the tension of the tail belt and make sure its been placed correctly. I had a similar issue once where the motor would whine and get stuck sometimes on spool up...turned out there were too many twists on the tail belt and it was causing a bind.

Or the pinion has come loose on the motor shaft.
That sounds likely.
