It would be considerably cheaper to buy a kit.

I'd say it all depends on how mush you want to spend. they range in price from around $200 (barebones) to over $1200. I recently bought my SE kit, battery (LIPO), charger, radio(Spectrum DX7), tools, servos(hg65's), tools, glue, hobby knife etc...in the ballpark of $1300!!! I still need to get 2 more batts. and a slodering gun, plus who knows what else!!

Of course everyhing comes down to choices/preferences you might have. I can give you an exact list of all the things I have and am getting for my 'Rex if you'd like.

Before you jump in, try checking out what Finless Bob has to show you in the vids, especially BEFORE YOU EVEN OPEN THE BOX!!! He has a LOT of helpful tips in there that I never would've thought about until after my model was done (or I had ruined some good parts trying to stuff it together!). :arggg:

Let me know if you need any help!! :glasses2:

I think oasis is wanting to buy all the parts separate and then build a T-Rex.

Go to:

SEARCH the @ top of this page, Fill in: Trex 450 setup>(on the left hand side-not the subject) click on Finless bob's helifreak tech room. Or you can search for trex 450 XL setup etc...Either way keep searching and watching all the Finless vids until your eyeballs fall out and you are sure you know whats going on. There might be an easier way to find what you need, but I don't have the link handy, sorry.

Best bet, don't even take anything out of the box before you watch the vids. He shows you a lot of good tips for positioning servos, adjustments, what tools to use (& how to use 'em!!!), and a lot of things to avoid.

Hope this helps!
