What??? No tic-tocs, no ceiling landings, not even a little tiny bit of 3D.

If thats all Alan Szabo can do, I imagine it will be dreadfull for us common mortals. LOL

Thats not good publicity, they should have put a 8yr old flying it, not a 3D master just flying it around.

Ok so thats what market they are after with the Trex 100.
He didn`t even do a few funnels with it.
Im guess it even have the same controller as the mSR have as the mSR isnt the onely 100 size heli with that controller.
Im realy dissapointed.

First, at the start of the video you can see mini servos under the canopy. Nice upgrade from the mSR. The turns look more banked than I get on my mSR.of course that could be the pilot.

Don't like the idea of NO BNF.

I will wait for you guys to get one and read the posts. But at this point I don't see me getting one as I have the mSR now.

Cool vid and thanks for posting,

Craig

Real servos, that look like an upgrade.
It can be seen a 0,15 in the video.

Yup, I am quite sure the "real servos" will work better than the ones on the mSR

Real servos or not it's still a self stabilizing FP, pass. More power and the best of luck to those interested in this heli but it's just an MSR under a different brand, seeing as how I gae my last MSR away I don't see me missing out on anything by skipping this one. I was really bitter when I first saw the title only to learn that it was just another beginner FP, same thing when I saw the first 120 SR thread, failx2

Did not really see a any left turn, my MSR doesn't like left turn. Look similar for sure to the MSR.

If no BNF, they just killed half their sales.

There would be little point in releasing a BNF version, since nobody as of yet has an Align TX to bind it to.

DustyBNF as in Spektrum BNF. At least that's what I got out of it.

I shouldn't think so since it's not a Horizon Hobby product. Also as stated above:

Does bring up an interesting point, if Align didn't get approval to use Spektrum 2.4, it will not work with Spektrum or JR radios.........This would be a big negitive to a lot of their market. That market being the Align peeps that would get it just because it IS Align.

Course it won't. I don't see Horizon Hobby giving anyone permission to use their DSM2 technology, far less a company that's releasing a competitor to one of their own products (mSR). That really would be shooting themselves in the foot :)

Horizon distributes Align too, right. What's the issue then, I would think that a DSM2 setup would benefit all parties involved?

Just watched the vid, I'll stick to my 4G3, way faster and it can do some 3D stuff.

This Trex100 looks lame.

But if you fly it around a 700e for long enough maybe it will look better!

Can't wait for the exi, hk, copterx, etc. Clones to come out........ A clone of a clone.

I wonder if we can buy the canopy and drill it for the msr. Now we all have a t-Rex 100!

But I gotta give it credit. If the gyro holds up that well in backwards flight and there is really no wag then that's a improvment over the msr already...

Mr.Andersen

Yea a better gyro and the possibility to change to longer servo horn, now we have a winner.
Becouse what the mSR lacking is a deasent gyro and more swash throw.

It looks like it flys just like my MSR,so im not sure if i would buy one?!

true but 90% of people complaints and mods have nothing to do with anything other than trying to get rid of that pesky coax characteristic of self stabilizing. True real servos and a decent gyro will improve it but at the end of the day the servos in the MSR weren't causing my grief, it was the dreaded impression of a pendulum that it loves to do. It is an improvement but like many others, after seeing how it flies I know for sure this one's not for me, maybe thi is a step towards a real micro T-Rex though.....

Mr.Andersen

It would be fun to have more throw on the mSR.
Yes a i can mod the swash to get there but i doesnt have to take out the magnifying glass to do that.
Just changing a servo horn would help alot compared to tiney parts, a razor and CA.
The pesky self stabilizing effect can be countered bye using negative expo to get more servo travel at center.
It help alot becouse it onely take small stick imputs to counter out the soup bowl tendency.
