View Full Version : 9303 with synth, did I get the right mod unit?

I was at the LHS and where I was told they had a synth mod that would let me dial in my channels "just like" on my 7202. Sounded good to me! I get it home and look at it to find I have to dial it in on the back with a small screw driver (Not Like My 7202!) and I can see where this might get changed if bumped wrong. I like having all the channels to choose from, but is this the best there is for the 9303?

I would have thought they could have made it "just like" the 7202 for real, so I don't have to worry about that little screw driver at fly-ins. Is there another unit that lets me dial it in throught the software like the 7202?

Don't get me wrong, I love my 9303. I just thought this mod would be better setup than that. If there is a better mod with a software switch, let me know soon so I can change before too much time goes by...

You got the only synth module for the 9303. I have one too. I wish the dials were on the opposite side of the module... so that I would have to remove the module to change channels.

I was looking at the instruction book for the 7202. It does not appear to have a removable module. Is that right? I guess it doesn't need one.

Not me...
Thats the way it was for my Optic 6. It became a real pain if you have multiple planes with different channels. So much easier with the 9303 w/synth module. I don't see the dials changing without the screwdriver so no worry there.

I wasn't so worried about the dials accidentally changing as much as dirt and gunk getting in there and making the dails unreliable. But I guess I could just put a piece of tape over the dials and call it good.

Or don't set yuor Tx into mud. :)

The hanle will keep teh dials off the ground.

I also have a Hitec Eclipse 7 with Spectra and it is a pain to have to pull the module to even check which freq is it on. I prefer the way my 9303 with synth module works.

Yes, 7202 way would be best, but that will require a totally new radio. Or wiat a while and the the XPS 2.4 GHz moduel and not have to worry about changing frequencies yourself.

Yeah, if/when they come out with a DX9 that works like a 9303, I'm all over that.
