Probably a stupid question but the synth module in the back of my 9c super gets warm during use,is this normal..thank you in advance

Perfectly normal for it to be warm.
If you want to see it get really warm. Leave the antenna collapsed in the radio with the radio on. :lol:
Nah don't try that, it will destroy the output.

If you transmit without extending your antenna the SWR's will be extremely high causing most of the RF to be reflected back into the circuitry's final output transistor. Unless the transmitter is protected against high VSWR, the transistor eventually could be destroyed, depending on the transistor used. It will definitely get hot!
