View Full Version : 14mz and G3
Hello,
I got a 14mz and a G3 reciver that woulndt work, when i try to change the freq, it just sais "turn on reciver power" and "retry" allt the time, i have tried many times.. I have never used it before, I also tried the DSC cable and that worked well, but the transmitter wouldnt work.
Do someone know what to do?
cheers

Do you have the correct ID number from the receiver entered into the transmitter?
Retry will show even at the end of a successful frequency setting. You have to look for the wag of the servo that is plugged into number 1 on the RX.

After frequency change, turn off the radio, turn off helicopter, turn on radio, turn on helicopter. Worked for me.

I had to have the Tx ariel touching the Rx aerial for it to register. Also waiting until the 3rd or 4th beep from the Tx before turning on the Rx seems to help
I got the right ID number, no respons on the servos, nothing works...
I have never tried the radio so its the first time, is it any special to do the first time?..
MarkD: Do the Rx antenna have to touch the Tx antenna? And turn on the Tx after 3-4beep when it is searching for the reciver to change freq? Or did i get it wrong?
Thank you

You can try touching the antenna, I don't though. I cycle the Retry option a couple times. I turn on the RX after the first or second beep and then turn it off after it's done. Do that a couple times and then turn the TX off and then back on.
Nothing works :(
Have anyone a problem like this before?
Do you think i have to send it to service?
Thank you

Just some quick questions?
Do you have a wireless router where your trying this?
Does the room have flourescent lights in it?
Either of those two items will cause trouble in obtaining the frequency. I would suggest taking the model outside and try to set the frequency.

Davidh is 100% correct. If either of these sources are in the general area of your 14mz, you will have a problem.
3 hours of trying, and I turned off my computer and boom, my 14mz changed frequencies.
Note to everyone.
