Hi, I'm curious as to if anyone is using the Logitech 6100 Gyro on a Razor. How does it compare to the GY-611. Thanks!

Hi, I'm curious as to if anyone is using the Logitech 6100 Gyro on a Razor. How does it compare to the GY-611. Thanks!

I almost bought one, as I am sure it performs equally well or better, but decided against it for the following reasons. It's fairly new, so hasn't been time tested. It hasn't received a lot of distribution yet, so it's not known how good the QA is from unit to unit. Do 1 in 100 perform worse or fail? 1 in 1000? Who knows?

And the last reason.....drum roll please....the GY611 is only $330 from readyheli, making it only $40 more (I think) than the 6100. That was $40 I was willing to pay to circumvent the unknown.

Futaba has awesome warranty and service, I have had countless things to them always returned fixed or new with no charge. Logitec route you have not much help or assistance in regards to repair or replacement, not on this side of the planet anyways....

actually you can get the 611/ servo for only $299. they cant advertise the low price due to MAP pricing...

But I heard the Logitech 6100 Gyro is much easier to setup than 611.
Im happy with my 611 though :D Futaba service here in the US will take care of you easy!

Would you like to tell us where the GY 611 is available for $299. I am sure everyone would like to know.

The price I posted above is not an advertised price. It is a price quote.

I'm with David. Since the dealer cost is $299, 10 bucks cheaper when ordered in quantity, it must be gray market. Even at $320 the dealer is practically giving it away.

I have looked around on a few of the offshore webstores.
Least expensive GY 611/9256 I found was Helikraft at $312. Ishii Mokei is $290 at the exchange rate today. But by the time you add shipping and other charges, it will be about $340. Shipping according to Ishii Mokei website is 6,700 yen EMS to North America. That is $50 USD.
Ishii Mokei shipping charges have always been higher than other shops in Japan. I usually pay about $20 on a 1 lb item shipped EMS from Japan.

Anyway the $320 price on the GY 611 here in North America is a great price.

Man I doubt that one, 611 is beyond easy, hook it up, set your direction, choose 3D mode or F3C, set your limits, you are done. What is easier than that?
