Help needed with zoom 400 please.

I was wondering if anyone can help me?
I bought a zoom 400 on saturday and spent sunday putting it together. All went well untill I fitted the tail servo on the frame, I found that it was obstructing the main gear. So I took the servo out and used a dremal and ground the sides down a bit, at the same time I took the rotor head off and gound the frame with a file (so the main gear doesnet touch the frame). After I put it all together everything was free (brilliant). Then I finished wiring it up and tried spooling it up with everything in place, I found the rotor head vibrates like theres no tomorrow. I double checked everything and cant find anything wrong with it.

Also what are the "must have" after market upgrades I sould get?

I would also like to add that I do have some experience with helis as I own and fly a few nitro helis.

But this little heli has got me, I also own a piccolo and have had no problems with it so far.

any suggestions?

Hey Zabir,
Well, for head vibrations check the main mast. I know, yer thinking it's brand new and all, but believe it or not, my main mast was bent right out of the box!! First real spin up of my rotors and it was shaking and wobbling all over the place! Checked everything and sure enough, it was bent out of the box. Pisser!
As for upgrades, that's kind of a personal thing. As for me, my "must haves" were a new main mast (you can buy a steele one that doesn't bend when you breath on it), same goes for the feathering spindle, i did a brushless set up, lighter fly bar ends and a tail mounted gyro and rudder servo mount. I'm not a real CF kinda person and like the "metal" look I have. So that is all I've done. Good luck and check that mast!
