G'Day,
I have a Twister Bell47 & have successfully got it flying using my JR9XV2 using the following method as descibed by Trent Collins over at http://www.archeli.com.au
Hey guys, got mine going this afternoon. Here's exactly what I did in case anyone is lost:
What I have:
Twister Bell 47
JR 9x on mode 1.
What to do:
Replace the Rx crystal with a JR brand crystal.
Setup a new PLANE (ACRO) model on PPM and set it as MODE2.
Unplug the two servos and switch them i.e. plug the elevator servo into the aileron hole and vise versa.
Plug in heli, check the direction of the servo travel (had to reverse mine). NOTE the aileron servo is called aileron and the elevator servo is called THROTTLE. If you reverse the elevator channel the throttle will go to full throttle (ask me how I know).
Thats it, now trim it and your away.
My Twister didnt fly too good with the standard TX, but I thinks its far better with a good transmitter, no worries flying around my bedroom now.
Now if I can just workout the outback ranger on my 9X I'd be sweet.

Very Good Thanx Mate, Changing weather conditions are nearly impossible to comprehend.................
Yesterday the weather was stinking bloody hot with 40Degrees Celsius temperatures & today it is flat out getting into the mid twenties..................
And to top it off the wind just blows from Dawn til Dusk making it impossible to get any flying done either........................

Im home and wanted to try this out.But first problem,,,,,the crystal holder from the JR receiver didnt fit the Twister receiver???Do i have to move the crystal from the holder????Couldnt get it out that easy, dont wanna break it.
Also i have an 9X not 9X2,does it make any difference?
A friend of mine reckon this is just possible to get working with the 9X2,hope not????

Nope having a 9X as appose to a 9X2 won't make any difference. I have a 9X and mine works fine with the twister.
The crystal should fit with the holder, again mine did. It wouldn't do any harm removing the holder but I don't know how you would do it as it is in there pretty well. I suppose you could slowly cut away the holder with a scalpel, which would work.
Let us know how you get on.

Done already, flys by itself. But one thing we need is better blades, get bladestrikes really easy and they just shatter in the air......down to the ground and usually 20 bucks repair.
Does anyone know anything about better blades, carbon e.t.c????????????
