How can I get the most quiet 30 size heli? I guess the engine/muffler/blades combination will need to do it. I was thinking about buying a raptor next year. NHP blades, Webra 35 or OS 37, and muffler zimmerman or Hatori. Which one will be the best for low noise?

It is hard to quiet a 30. Hopefully someone here will have some good tips and tricks for you Laurens.

I got a chance to fly Ray's Stinger with OS 37 in it this weekend. It ROCKED for a 30. LOTS of power. I don't think it was much quieter than the OS 32 I used to have though, but definitely had more power.

I can put the engine on the rich side for the sound emission test. I won't be the only one doing that  .

I use a zimmerman pipe on my raptor 30 with a TT39 very quite to me , i have also used a weston pipe that i find to be quite as well. both give good power as well. :glasses2:

The Caliber .30 is really quiet due to lack of gear mesh (belt drive) and a really quiet stock muffler.

C30 might be coming here end this year/ beginning next year. I figured that it should be almost as quiet as the 3dNT. Otherwise I just buy a zimmermann muffler for it.
