I have never seen a 0 run out . its really hard to get a bad alignment on the stratus as there is no place to make adjustments . swap out your main blades with another set and check and see if it gets better or worse. Then do the same with the tail blades. if you still have the vib I would replace the main shaft again and it that dont fix it replace the head spindel again.. It is gonna be trial and error from here out..I would guess... Miss you all.

I heard that the OS91SZ engine vibrate badly compare to C-spec and YS.

The vibration might be from the engine ?

q8hobbytime the clutch and fan aren't aligned together from the (A) frame supports. after a hard crash it will usually bent slightly that u won't even realize it. change the (A) frame supports and ur problem will be solved.

Miniature Aircraft USA
31713 Long Acres Drive
Sorrento, FL 32776
USA

Phone 328-383-3201

Not going to be inexpensive to ship from Kuwait to the USA and return shipping.
Just guessing probably at least $200 plus.

Would they test it and fly it and how should i send it with or without electronics plus what i would like to send is the frame no head no boom as for the money if have sent it from the first place would have been cheeper then buying all the parts and still the same issue

Like Hassan stated the ladders (A-Frame) can easily be bent in a crash. If you have visible alignment problems between the engine fan and clutch at the gap I would check the ladders. I have had them be bent and appear straight so that unless you held up a new one to the old one you would never know they were bent. Then again I have had them bend where you could easily see them bent such as the case two weeks ago.

I worked on this machine for several hours last night with Ray, and found a couple things that were suspicious;
Clutch- Engine alignment was off a bit, near zero gap to one side, while the other side had +/-.030"
Crankshaft is not bent, however the fan collets were galled/scarred and the fan could slip on the crank.
The fan itself appeared to be damaged/scarred on the sides, and the top surface was no longer true, possibly giving a false runout reading.
Here's what we have done so far;
Replaced fan and collets.
Confirmed runout on crank.
Broke RPM sensor for governor. It's not one thats familiar to me, let us know and we will replace it..
replaced dampners.
I will install head/boom and test hover today, Hopefully this will solve the issues, if not I'll dig into it more and keep digging until I find it.
my number is 1-706-799-4911 or email brown.wayneb@gmail.com if you'd like more info on status..
I'm only home every two weeks, so this has top priority so you can get back flying..

I'm working through tuning issues, and there seems to be a gyro issue as well.
Vibs seem minimal now, but it's still not what I would call smooth.. at least not yet..

q8hoppy :)

just to make sure for testing ur tail rotating try replace all parts hitting the ground check the tail hubs mounting correctly to the place, some times engines when its rich do little bit Vibrations and could hold the tail as well.

I pulled the tail, boom, torque tube and head from one of my models and installed on his frames to help isolate things. On my model all was ultra smooth.. ;)
I installed my reciever and batteries/regulator too as I could not get his 10ch synth rx to communicate with my tx and I felt it would be easier to use my stratus program. Throttle was reversed so no big deal to go back once we are through..
I got through the tuning issue, no vibs on the airframe and engine is no longer 4 stroking and is running well.
With two observers while I flew, the only movement was the tail servo working itself to death at gains as low as 15%, which is indicative of a failing tail servo.
Gain set to 33% results in a VIOLENT wag that is there as low as 17% with diminishing holding power.
Fuel is sloshing around in the tank, with no foaming evident.

Thank you wayne for looking at my bird
Dont you think my servos are kind of slow

I didn't notice anything unusual, I am using a Duralite 3200 and 5.3V regulator.
You will have to rewire your regulator when you get it back as I bypassed it to use mine.
As soon as I have confidence in the tail, I'll go to idleup and see what the machine will do, right now I'm only hovering it for testing.

We have succeeded!
Your engine (YS 91) happened to have a shorter threaded portion that required another washer above the fan.
Previous slippage is what ruined the old fan and collets, after I replaced the fan and collets it slipped on me too, so it got another teardown. No slippage anymore!!
Your 9651 servo was bad as well, and now the machine is vibration-free. .005 runout on fan, and the fan has been re-balanced after installing the TJ Pro magnet.
Engine is still a bit rich, and there is a little movement while it 4 strokes a bit.
Increasing headpeed clears that up.
We've replaced your TJ pickup sensor too.
Your machine is all locktited in the right places, You'll need to redo your regulator and throttle linkage again (I did not try to use the Governor and setup to match my stratus)
Remount the governor and fix the wiring back up, add fuel and fly!
I tested on Cool Power 30%, GV 611 gain at 33%, 1650 headspeed in normal @ hover.
Ray should be sending it back to Kuwait this week!
