If you have change all the shaft including tail shaft,

check your tail hub

Check your tail hub, and output shaft because i crashed last weekend and i had the same problem. Come to find out my tail hub, and output shaft were bent.

What do you mean by the tail hub which part or if you can help me out with e pic

The tail hub is the part that holds the blade grips to the tail rotor output shaft

The stubs on each end can be tweaked in a crash. The blades will not track and this will cause a vibration.

the tail hub is what the tail blade grips bolt on to, then the hub bolts onto the tail shaft which coes out of the gear box

But i had this issue from day one but now its worse and my crash was not on the tail as the fin did not break

A tail fin does not have to be broken for parts of the tail rotor assembly to be bent.

If you have had the issue since day one. Why are you just now worrying about it after a crash?

Could it be unbalance blades ? or maybe your bearing blocks ?

I use to have a pair of unbalance blades. After changing the blades, my vibration disappear

guys i observed his issue, it was in a form of a very short but violent tail wags, side-ways that is.

we have just checked for any bent shafts. all seems well. gyro gain is 37% but we haven't tried lowering it will do next time we fly.

if the tail assembly is fine, would you guys recommend checking for the main head and engine assembly? I thought not.. as the shape of the tail-wag is so relevant to the tail in my very humble opinion.

Sideways wags are usually a tuning hassle, given that the gyro , tail pushrods are smooth , and tail assy itself is good ...

It could be your gyro. Could it be your gyro tape to stiff ? also make sure the gyro sens wire is not very tight.

Dude:
I would check and make sure that the engine is not to lean and or rich...causing your kick from side to side.. I would then replace the tail rotor output shaft... I think this is the crash that i was there for.hehehe..Also ensure that the tailboom support rods are tight and not moving ,, and the front clamps are tight and glued at the pipe. just some of my thoughts. Miss you guys

Bonsai you miss u 2 buddy bill did a roll and you can check his post on the gohbee side anyways back 2 the point my rods are not tight at all and i dont think its the gyro because i have tried it in the rate mode and its still the same and the boom support are OK no problem

You know that if the engine is lean or rich it can cause the tail to kick more so over there if it is rich... ( kick is side to side not veritcal ) vertical vibe is more likely a head or clutch problem. hope this helps...

Main shaft, input and output shafts, tailshaft, head axle, tail hub, start shaft, those are some things to look at after a crash but not always after a crash these parts are bad, you gust need to check threw these parts.Tail drift could be bad electronics. If you call MA we could go threw what you have done.

I have yet to have bent a hub but others have...I think that the shaft will do the trick but I too have seen torque tubes go bad...the idle setting is 3/4 turn out or 0.75 the hover needle is 1 1/2 or 1.50 and the top is 1 turn or 1.0 . these are + or - one click depending on temp. I understand that it has been cold lately so adjust accordly. also double check your tank as i found a hole in my new one and have to replace it. its under the new screws at the rear of the tank.... Be Safe..and you know the rule...never alone

please guys i need some inputs and i would like to make sure that my engine crank is ok so where can i send my engine so they can check the crank and make sure that the balance is ok on the fan and do the run out for me

DavidH

You need a dial indicator to check the run out on the crankshaft and the fan. It is not difficult to do if you have the right tools.

This thread will give you lots of advice about checking the run out and the tools required.
