As Dan is showing, the Futaba GY menu works great with the 6100T, you see the same numbers on the Gyro as you do the radio, just like your 601/611.
I have my smoothness control on 20
3D Mode
Futaba Radio
Performance Medium

I just purchased a 6100t i hope it was worth it im going to be selling my 611 if i like it. Is there a limit on the gain like the 611 being you not suppose to go over 37% gain?

What are limitations of the servo what can i run the gain safely at with this servo? I see you are running 40 % gain and will is running 50 %. :dontknow

Gain is going to be different depending on your head speed, tail speed, tail blade size, etc... I have always raised gain till it started to wag then back it off (3 to 5) so it holds the tail nice and locked in but no wag.

Hello all, I just plugged the 6100 in to a 4.8 v ni cad to bench test and see some numbers. Heres what I saw:
DX 7: 30%Gain = 38% Gain on the Gyro
DX 7: 72%Gain = 45% Gain on the Gyro
DX 7: 83%Gain = 67% Gain on the Gyro
I must be missing something because these numbers are not adding up for me.Can anyone recomend a safe place to start with the gains, and then I can dial them in from there. The heli is a stock TRex 600. I did replace the stock CF blades with some 95mm "V" blades. I have aux 2 set to gyro so my flight mode switch controls the gain and I want to set up a neutral center in rate mode for the best performance. I initially tried to set the GEAR to GYRO, but couldnt get the gear switch to control the gain. :?
Any help would be great, thanks guys

I'm doubting about buying my new gyro for the 600 nitro(going to prepare my stash allready so when it hits the market, I can start building it :D ).
but I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put that gyro behind the mainshaft where everyone puts his gyro(like 611's and 401's etc...) on the 600 electroor on the raptors etc. without any gyro on there it 'd look a bit empty... But I wonder if the nitro fumes could go past the buttons etc into the gyro and damage the gyro. it's a pretty open place and open to the exhaust fumes
would it be an OK idea to put that gyro there?

HHawk: My numbers were off when I first set it up. I will have to ask the guy that help me with my radio what he did to make it line back up. I would believe the number on the Gyro. ;)
MaxiMe: Well the "driest" place on a nitro bird is underneath the canopy somewhere.

yeah, I know, but would it be bad if I were to put it on that place? would be pretty nice bling. else it would look kinda empty

Thanks Dabian,
maxime, I agree with DabianDog, under the canopy is a great place for it, and the servo up front is most important on a nitro.

I own this gyro combo and have it in my knight 50 and I cant fault it. Its 1 of the best gyro's out there. I have mine mounted behind the mainshaft.

Funny you should ask!
Guess what I am doing this weekend :)
I will be posting a 6100T setup video by next weekend... I just have some more tweaking and testing I want to do first.
