Searches??

What am I doing wrong. I am trying to find info on the DD tail mod but the search doesn't find anything but I know there is tons of info in here???

Hmm, well I think you are a registered user so you should be able to use the search function.

When you hit the search button are you filling out the fields correctly?

I am not sure what problem you are having. What are you typing in the search fields, and what forums are you searching through? What key words are you using?

Just not sure.

If you had a DD question, we may be able to help. The link I have above talks a lot about DD motor. Nick Maxwell tried a few different motors before he found that one and it works very well.

Yes I am a registered user and think I am doing it correctly, I mean it is not rocket science. Try this, I know there are a number of threads that have DD info in them but if you do a search for it it comes up blank. That is what I am talking about.

BTW, I read through all 19 pages on the thread above and got nothing but conflicting information and when I asked about it I was basically called a newby and told to try it for myself and they will help me sort it out after. Lota help they were.

DD Tail rotor fin/mount - PART#GW-HAS-002

Buy a handful of these:

GWS 30/20 props - PART#HH2214

For the motor, use a GWS FW50 for 2S LiPo or 7.2v NiCd/NiMh and a FW50H for the 3S LiPo. Buy a heatsink for it as well. The "tractor" setup of the above DD motor mount will blow air over the motor and keep it nice a cool.

Again, thanks for the information but this thread is about SEARCHES, the DD is just a sample of what I could not find using the search function.

When I search for DD I do not get anything. When I search for Direct Drive I get a lot of search results.

Once you read a few post and find you want more information look for a few words you think would be only related to that subject and search on those words. After a few tries I tend to find what I am looking for.

Some but you know that DD is in subject and text MANY times, why does it not come up? Are there search rules we do not know about?

I think there is a minimum number of characters requirement in the search code... Probably something in the code that will return a NULL answer if not enough characters are submitted. I got a no results found searching for the letter A as well as for DD.
