Hi all.
Before I get started I just wish to point out that this information is to enable you to use an Esky controller on Real Flight should you have trouble with the original suppied controller, or have damaged you original unit. IT IS NOT IN SUPPORT OF RUNNING COPIED SOFTWARE. You will still need original Serial numbers to get this to work. Esky controls are avaliable on the net or on Auction sites for around $50 Aust.
I am using Real Flight G3 with the Esky USB controller, but without rate switching and flap buttons. I am using a Dongle software program you can easy dowload from the net. The problem I had was getting the mapping to work, it took a whole day to sort out. I had problems with crossed controls and some that would not work. Here are the Mapping settings you will need to map the Esky controller.
X1 Axis = 0
Y1 Axis = 4
X2 Axis = 16
Y2 Axis = 8
Flaps = 12
Button 1 = 48
Button 2 = 49
Button 3 = 50
Button 4 = 51
Button 5 = 52
Once you have set these settings in the dongle program, launch Real flight from the launch button in the dongle program. Once the program is loaded Go into the Controller menu in Real Flight and select controller as Interlink Joystic (g2). Next select Channel Mapping from the same controller menu and click next untill you get to Channel 1 - Alerons and check the box marked reverse channel. Now click next again untill you get to Channel 4 - Rudder and do the same.
Thats it folks.... You have now set up you Esky controler for Mode one flying.
Please note if you press number button 2 whilst using Real Flight, you will get a picture of your controller on the screen that will move when you move the sticks. If you have a mode 2 controller you may need to swap the mapping number in the dongle to swap the throttle side.
I hope this is a good help to others. Enjoy
Regards
Mardy
