OK I just couldn't take it anymore I just had to put something on it so it looks more like a real heli up in the air AND because orientation is a bugger without it! Anyway, here is one of my spare Ion-X canopys stuck on the Razor. It looks a little big on it but it's certainly better than nothing at all and I can put it back on the Ion when I need to. The upper rear mounts fit like they were made for it as long as the servo arms/wheels don't hit it. For the front I just stuck some velcro under the battery tray and on the inside of the canopy and it sticks pretty good. Should be just fine till I get my real canopy........next week!??? Check out the pic and 2 more in the gallery of the mounts and let me know what you think, good or bad??

Think it looks fantastic!

yeh , it looks better in the air too, so far I cut 3 Ion canopys , one I cut a tad to much , but I still use it for a thrasher cnopy , the second one got smashed in shipping , and I just got down painting a windshield on the last one , throw some stickers on there , cut out the top where the swash is so I can slid the canoy on about 1 1/2" drilled 4 new holes , put it on the Ion too if I need to

Looks good. Necessity is the mother of invention they say you know....
Better to see than not to see, hate to ding a perfectly good machine flying it with no can.

Boy your not kidding Will, I was flying it the other afternoon when it was just getting slightly dark and at times it was hard to tell if I was coming or going without a canopy. Sometimes the eyes were weren't seeing what the brain was thinkin' so I decided to get something on it before the next outing.

That looks sweet! Will you please take pics of the cano looking inside the heli so that I could see more of how the mounting is for the front. Thanks.
I just heard from MA and the canopies are delayed till a week or two because the batch that they got were way tooooo heavy. Who ever made them for MA is making a new batch that is lighter, So for now I want to get a canopy for mine.

I may be doing your trick this weekend if I don't get any Jody Canopies by then. I have a hell of a hard time seeing with no can. Old eyes... :DOH

I can't agree more Will but Im told our eyesight is really the second thing to go away when we get older, ha ha. I am having the same troubles without a canopy. I even thought about mounting my spare Tempest canopy some how, but it's really way to big. Anyone have a spare Ion canopy they are wiling to part with for a reasonable price?

Here is a couple of shots of how I mounted the front of the front of the Ion canopy on the Razor. I put some velcro on the underside of the front portion of the battery tray and stuck the other pc directly on the inside of the canopy. Pretty simple and it holds really good.
