They work, but are hard to setup compared to the Futaba GY401.
It is the same gyro as the Telebee, which is normally cheaper.

I have the align gyro and wished I didn't. I am switching to either the Logictech 2100T or the 401. I am leaning towards the 2100T. The align gyro is a pain to set up and doesn't seem to hold very good. :arggg: :bomb: Go the extra and get either one of the others mentioned.

I'm not a big fan of my Align/Telebee gyro either. It is a bear to set up, especially if you are new to dialing in a gyro.

After having read many posts on gyros I am afraid I have one of the less liked ones. I received a T-rex from my spouse for my birthday in March and it has the RCE 500X with it. I have built the heli with much help from Bob's videos and finally yesterday it was time to spin it up for the fist time. I can say from experience now that the last two posts are right on. I have spent most of a full day fiddling and adjusting and reading every thing I can find and I can not seem to get this thing to hold at all. I am using a Futaba T7CHP with this gyro and if any one out there is using the same and could share their radio settings and/or helpful hints I may be able to keep what hair I have left.

OK... I have her flying, thanks again to Bob's videos. :noteworthy For those who are using the RCE 500 and having trouble, the 401 set up video will get you in the air.
