Anyone know where I can get replacement o-rings for the Hatori HB-18? The ones that came with the muffler seemed to be a bit oversized and ended up getting pinched when putting the muffler on. That led to them eventually just tearing, so I'm needing me a replacement.

By the way, would standard o-rings from a hardware store stand up to the temps on a muffler or will this need to be a special order?

I buy O rings from Industrial Supply. You can buy a bag of 10 Viton Orings for about $5. I bought a bag of 50 for less than $20 a few years ago.
#211 is the Oring you want. I buy the brownish orange ones that are 80-90 durometer.
Should be Industrial Supply or Motion Industries in your area.

You are a god. :) Motion Industries, if this is the same place, is about 3 buildings down from my office. I'll be stopping by first thing tomorrow.

In case anyone else out there is interested, www.allorings.com has these in stock as well. $9.38 for a bag of 25. That is a hell of a lot better than the 6 bucks the Hatori ones cost from anywhere else!

Those at small parts are 75 durometer. I prefer the 80-90 durometer. They last longer.

Got any tips on where to find the 80 - 90 durometer ones? So far I've had no luck locally, so if you know of an online dealer that would be great. ...I've got a thing for the internet. :)

#211 Viton Orings 80-90 durometer. Tell the color is a brownish color. The 80-90 may be black now. I really don't know.

Hmm, when I called them before they kinda acted like I was crazy. I'll try again and be a little more specific. :)

They didn't have them, but pointed to people who do... on the way now! :)

Thanks again.
