Reflex XTR STEP2

Do you guys get the new ROTOR magazine?
In this magazine there is a Advertising regarding the new Reflex STEP 2.

This is some of the news:

Text from the advertise:
Reflex XTR:
Intelligent EVOlution
More Scenes
More Models
More functions
More future

“If you do have a Reflex, you can of course get a update from us – more detail at www.reflex-sim.de”

Reflex is introducing a new Tranmitter “iVol”
- A transmitter that can be used for the Reflex.
- It looks kind of a big gamepad.(like an U standing upside down)

Text from the advertise:
- 10 ball bearing – incomparable Stick feeling
- Digital trim
- Changeable cover
- Changeable Handgrip
- Pult or Handtransmitter
- Mode 1 /2 changeable without opening the transmitter
- Adjustable “Springforce” for the Stick, without opening the
transmitter
- Graphic display
- Can also be used as a Joystick
- 8-12 Channels
- And a lot more……

Soon for the iVol:
- Transmitter technique modul iVol Life – in STEP 3.
Take the iVol with you to the flying field

PC-programming iVol xtd – STEP 4
- The new opportunity for RC programming.
Programm – Simulate - fly

I´m sure STEP 2 is more then just a transmitter - note the "More Functions" - wonder what that could be????

Looking forward to hearing exactly what step 2,3 and 4 are. Hopefully today we will find out and hopefully it will be another free download.

Reflex XTR 5.04, don't see anything new yet except for the iVol controller.

How about a toggle for the red no fly zone??????????????????????????????????????

I want it (need it) out of there. :bomb:

For us present Reflexers, the iVol does nothing for us. It only allows non-radio folks to get into the game.

"Making the simulator any better calls for features that the current interface can't offer. Therefore we are implementing a new technology in the iVol and the slimstick interface to make things happen that can't be done today due to technology limits. With the enhanced hardware options we have a lot of freedom on the software side to improve the system."

Current interface??? You mean our 9CHPS or 7CHP???

"iVol as the future transmitter platform offers technology aspects the radios as they are now can't even dream of. The digital circle starts on your computer, compromises Reflex XTR, iVol, your model your receiver and all the way back to the start. That still is music of tomorrow but we are thinking about tomorrow now. That's why we start putting our efforts today into tomorrows technology."

You mean our heli radios aren't good enough? I thought th simulator was to practice for the reality of RC Heli flight...

Man, I need another cup of coffee...

OK, so until they release the transmitter module for this thing (which I'm guessing won't exactly be free either) what we get is the worlds most expensive sim dummy-tx? Yay!

hi all,

I'm thinking this whole step 2 thing is much ado about nothing. I've already transitioned to Phoenix.

Cheers,
Leslie

For all we know this may very well be the future of RC radio. I for one love my Reflex and will like to see what Wolfgang comes up with in the future.

I am completely lost, what happened now to this step 2, nothing here, nothing on xtr web-site ... except this transmitter which costs more than a new real TX :badair:

If you already have Reflex, you send them your old dongle and $49 EURO ($67 USD) and they'll send you the new Slimstick interface.

Screw a new transmitter stick thing ... just make Reflex load/run on Vista without having to jump through hoops.

oh, you mean without the new stick it's not running on Vista anymore ? I never tried ...

Unsure if the stick has anything to do with Reflex running on Vista, since I don't have a stick.

But, what I do have is a new laptop computer I bought here in Iraq. The new laptop has Vista which will not properly install Reflex. :P

Soooo ... I'll have to wait until we return to the USA to use Reflex on the home computer. :(
