Its that time again!! Those of you who entered last year will have a packet sooner or later, with an entry form for this years Nats. If you are even thinking of entering, now is the time to get your entry in and start polishing the model.

You should also note that there have been a few minor changes to the rules. In precis, the hover maneuvers and climbout get 5 points each, the translational landing 10 points. The freestyle is out of 50 with 20 points awarded for "artistic merit" ie, make your freestyle flow.

The full rules are here

Once again, I am looking for qualified judges and will be happy to cover their expenses. IRCHA also pays a stipend for sitting around for 2 days watching other folks have fun and try not to crash their helis.

The pilots meeting will be on Monday 9th July at 6pm, static on Tuesday at 8am and one round of flying to follow. The other rounds will be on Wednesday morning followed by prize giving at midday.

If you have a scale model, enter it anyway, even if you dont think you have a chance of winning a trophy. Its good fun and the more you enter the less intimidated you will be when you finally turn up with your scale masterpiece which will carry home the winners trophy.

I hope to see you there.
