It works, what seems to be your problem?

It worked just fine on my WIn7 machine. What steps did you do so far? I have noticed that the totalG usb adapter shows up as a device even before connecting to the TG itself. Try plugging the adapter into the computer only and it should install the necessary drivers.

Make sure you have all the Win7 updates from Microsoft!

It says it doesn't know the device "FT232R USB UART"

I've reinstalled the .NET4 and the TG 1.2 as well but it didn't help.

Do you mean any particular update? I had troubles with some updates in the past so I skiped them...

You are missing the proper usb drivers.. You will have to keep at it! Might require a few reboots and re-installs of updates. That's winders for ya!! I saw this awhile back on someone elses Win book of the sorts. It's not the TG software interface. It's the drivers for the chip on the usb cable.

Well I've tried that on another PC with Win XP with the same result. Missing driver for the USB cable.

How many restarts I should perform? Does anyone have just the driver I can install? It would be nice :noteworthy

I think you pretty much must have the MS download to keep it from getting messy! You might look into the device driver section and see if any of the usb devices have a yellow flag indicating there is a driver mismatch or error of sorts.

The yellow flag with the exclamation mark is on the "FT232R USB UART" device. It says nothing has been found on the internet when I hit update driver.

I've also tried Windows update but nothing has been found and it says my PC is up to date. The other computer is without internet connection so I'm of options now.

In some cases you have to remove the yellow exclaimed driver for it to re-install properly! I assume you are looking in the Device manager?

Yes I'm in the device manager and I can see this device with yellow flag. There are just few options:

- update driver
- Forbidden
- Uninstall
- Find hardware changes
- Properties

I have it in my native language so you should have it different but the meanings remains the same. Nothing helped and I've already tried all four USB ports on my computer with the same result.

What would I do if I'm not connected to the internet? My second PC with XP isn't connected and it has the same "error" obviously...

I did some changes in the windows registry and now the Windows update found the proper driver.

Hmmm funny.

Thank you very much for your support!!! Very much!!!:noteworthy
