Hey all.

I've been a flier of the trex 450se for the past year, and have recently purchased a trex 600. As far as my flying goes, I'm confident in nose-in, and can do figure-eight's comfortably. However, I am yet to attempt any 3D. My only 3D capable bird at the moment is the 600, and I'd prefer to not attempt new tricks on it to start with :P I fly on FMS to brush up on my technique, but there's only so far you can get on a simulator without relating it to the real thing.

Soooo, what I'm after is a 3D-capable micro heli that is *very* forgiving. I've got a Walkera No.4 and it's great when it comes to crashing; nothing to seems to injure it. So something like that would be great. Another factor is cost; just having bought the 600, I'm a little hard pressed for the money. Doesn't have to fly great, but atleast reliable.

I've been looking at the Honey Bee CP2 eSky 6CH 3D, and also the Walkera 22E. Any suggestions on these two? Or something totally different?

Thanks from Down-Under :)

Blake

Do you still have the 450SE? Honestly I think that would be the best bet.

The reason the DF4 is so forgiving is the low headspeed (also being fixed pitch means there isn't much to break). I've got one too, and a Dragonfly 60. Trust me, the Walkera crashes pretty damn hard once you get the headspeed high enough to do any 3D. The spares cost about the same as on a 450, and you get way more crashes due to servos giving out mid-flight, blade grips shooting apart (until I went from the 60 to the 60B), and just generally lower quality parts/electronics than on a 450. Besides that, some parts aren't available seperately for Walkera, gets pretty frustrating buying a $40 assembly for a $3 part.

No 3D capable micro-heli is more forgiving or repairable than a 450 IMO.
