Well, my Logo 10 is done :D I think :?:

One thing left is to balance her. She is tail heavy (as all Logo 10's from what I understand). What is the best way to do this? I'm off by about the weight of 8 AA batteries  (hows that for precise measuring), and wonder what everyone uses for weight, and how they attach it. I'm using a Spektrum DX-6, Logictech 2100T gyro, and BEC, none of which would make much difference shifting to the front.

My second question is that I was wondering if one of you qualified pilots could meet me some weekend at your field of choice, give her the once over, and maiden her for me, make sure everything is set OK, and maybe give me a heads up while you do it,.....this is the first Heli I've built from square one, so I want to take it easy, and make sure I have a firm grip on everything before I fly it.

Anytime should be OK, but with 5 kids, my life is pretty hectic,....

Thanks a bunch!
Wayne

Hey,

We fly locally almost every Sunday, and we will be at the Crossroads in Palm Bay tomorrow morning. If you see guys flying helis, just ask them to give you a hand and they will be glad to help.

There are also a couple of guys that fly in Ft. Pierce/Vero. Look for GordoHigh in the forums, he is a great guy.

Jamestron99,....I guess I need the longer battery holder then :arggg: but I thought I had the battery as forward as it would go,....oh well, I'll get it...

Loopzilla, Thanks!! I won't make it this weekend, maybe next weekend or so

Thanks again
Wayne

Is it one of the plastic framed Logo 10's? If so you can get the carbon battery extension tray that sticks out the front.
I have a Logo 10 carbon, which has a nice extended battery tray built right into the frame:

Yes, it is plastic frame, but even without the extra support, I moved it as far forward as it would go before it was hitting the nose of the canopy, and my balance was still a little off.

That's OK, I did the right thing, and bought a couple of TP packs that I put in and balanced fine. I had needed to get a couple of flight packs anyway. I went with the 5S2P 4600 mAh 22c packs,....that should do me just fine!!

Thanks for the help

Hey Wayne, are you going over to Port Charlotte this weekend?

Hey Wayne, are you going over to Port Charlotte this weekend?
Unfortunately, no,.....I've got to replace a bent flybar and linkage (got caugt up with some nasty weeds today), and momma's got a girl scout leader thing on Saturday which leaves me "stranded" with all 5 of my munchkins

Anyway, I'm gonna fix my Logo, and maybe go out for a couple of hours on Sunday,.....

You can pretty much count me in for next year though!!

See 'ya around, maybe I'll head up to Palm Bay again in a couple of weeks.
