What is the best way to get at the clutch liner on a completed 90?
Thanks

remove it from the machine. There is no possible way to replace the liner while it's installed.

Well, I started a large reply and then noticed that you want to change the liner on a 90 and not a fifty. My bad. Wayne is right just remove the engine and the clutch bell/bearing assembly.

Typicaly how much liner material will be left when the liner is wornout....Looking at the liner I am about to replace, there is well over 0.5mm thickness left.

Its more how crystallized the liner is. It has to have friction to work properly.
I've read that the gap between the clutch and liner should allow about 3 sheets of typewriter paper... whatever that amounts to. Anyway, obviously, the larger the gap the higher the engage rpm. As the clutch material erodes away I think the gap would become intolerable before you ran out of clutch material.
I don't know but it seems like if the only problem was that the material was glazed it might be possible to resurrect the material by sanding it with some coarse paper to rough up the material a bit. Has anyone tried that?

I've tried it, and it half works. It is at best a stop-gap to keep flying for a few more flights, it won't last.
