Is anyone using the Berg 7 REC.? Are you using a SBEC with it? I'll be flying very mild after the first checkout flights as this is going to be an AP ship. 3 amp SBEC adequate?

Hey,
I'm not entirely sure about the Berg in a Swift and so cannot comment, I do seem to remember others syaing they are using them without incident but then other points of view against them in this size of model.
I do recall they are popular in the micro heli class though.
As for the SBEC, I would suggest more than 3amps although through A/P you are not going to stress the BEC to much like a 3D heli would but 3amps seems a little low to run 3 standard sizes servo's, a gyro and tail servo on a Swift. I maybe wrong again but I'd go a little higher if possible.

Thanks Ian. Maiden flight today. Berg 7, ARF supplied FP 3700 NF bat.,Hacker A30-8XL. Not a rocket ship. Took my time on set-up and radio placement and balancing. Smoooooth and vibe-free.
What/where for the Over Tech batteries?

Hey,
Ah brilliant, bet your excited now it's all flying well.
I am the same when it comes to model setup, I like to take my time over placement and make a neat job of installations. That way 1. it looks good and 2. you avoid any problems.
For Over Tech batterys look here : http://www.overlander.co.uk/
I do not as yet know of a US distributer but will find out if there is one. Cell manufacturer is the same as FP (Enerland) but cells assembled with air gaps between each cell to help cell cooling.
Idea is very good and works well, as cells warm up through use centre cells do not inherit heat from neighbouring cells.
