What do you guys think? I like the styling of the 9Z better but it doesn't look that bad. I wonder when will it be released.

The model show is in Japan in the next few days. Futaba will show the radio at the model show and I would think that the radio will be released in Japan a couple of weeks after the model show. From what I am hearing it is going to be November in Japan when it first goes on sale.

I'll save everyone the work..... Today's exchange rate is 110.4Jyen/USD sooo...
280,000JY=$2,536.23USD (!) Did I do that math right?!

You forgot the streetprice/list price factor.
9Z was something like 240000 list, 140000 street, so the new radio should be below $2k with 4 $100 servos and the new receiver which probably costs a small fortune too (for that data rate they are probably using QPSK and that would mean they need a DSP).
Hey it's not gonna be cheap, but for those that fly jets >$5k it's only a small factor. For helis the 9Z offers almost everything one needs, maybe apart from a easier user interface for JR guys, hehe...
