Anyone know if the Century 500D fuse fits a Raptor 50V2?? I've heard there may be interference between the fuse and the collective pitch control arm..

Is this a good fuse or is there something better out there for a 500D? Any 5 bladed heads of the proper scale for a bird this size? Same with a 4 bladed TR setup.

I want to model a specific heli...

Thx!

Well the MD530 is out now, thats made by Thunder Tiger and fits a Titan or a v2 with a titan boom/belt like a glove or the tail boom can be cut to fit a stock v2. I dont know about fitting a scale head to Raptor mechs though but I'm sure it can be done. Seems like a lost of cost and aggrivation though unless you are going to compete and loose points for having a flybar head.

Yeah, go with the TT fuse. From what I've read, it fits well. OF has a 10mm 5blade head. I'm thinking I'd like to go with something similar on the R50 I just converted to flybarless. Looking for something more along the lines of an OH-58D, though.

I specifically don't want the 530.. The ship I want to model was crashed in October of 2005 and belonged to the owner of the flight school where I train. I always wanted to fly that heli, but now will have to do so via model.

I'm none to worried about the cost (within reason!) or the time involved. I've got 3 other helis to fly while I build.

Here's the ship I want to model:

I didn't look into the TT fuse too thoroughly so I don't know what they do for the collective arm clearance. And whether it would work in a Century? Maybe if converted to CCPM? Just a thought.

yeah, I can't seem to get a straight answer as to whether the collective arm needs cutting/modifying with the Century fuse... Still waiting on a reply to the e-mail I sent asking for clarification.

I saw a both the 500 defender and the 530 TT fuses at a fun fly a couple months ago. Both looked to have plenty of clearance internally for the collective arm. Nice looking ships.. Wish that 500 defender cam in a 50 sized package. I could modify the fuse to work...

Just saw a century fuse with raptor mechanics over in the scale forum on rr. The guy had a pic with it. Looked like it'll fit.

According to the folks over at scalerchelis.com, the Century 500D is perfect fit with the Raptor mechs...

I think I may have found my summer project....
