I just wanted to break the norm and say how lucky I feel.

I could be addicted to much worse things. I'm addicted to helis.....and I love the CX.

Purists call the CX a "toy" because it's too stable. Acrobats call them "worthless" because they can't blow two directions. Your LHS will tell you that they are good "beginner" machines, and you'll never see the heli magzines glorifying any CX pilots. But, I have to say that when it comes to RC helis, they got it right with the CX.

I love to fly my Trex but for every minute of Trex flight I probably log 15 minutes on the CX. Don't get me wrong, it's not the Trex's fault, it's a wonderful machine! BUT......there's this one minute or so bliss in the middle of a CX battery that can't be put in words. If you're a CX pilot you know. The motor heat is just right and the gyro allows you forget about the tail. It only lasts a short while but the feeling of being hands off and hovering totally stationary can't be found anywhere else.

How do I measure time? BBC (between battery charges)

Yes the CX2 gets flown more than any other around here also. more than any of my 3 T-Rex's, HDX300, Blade CP pro, or picooz. Winter here is dreadfully cold and windy so no going outside 99% of the time. The CX2 is perfect for my simple AP wireless camera, lots of fun and not so much to worry about because of the excellent stability. Alot of folks like to talk to you during your flight and with the CX2 you can take your eyes off and know it isn't going anywhere.

The CX2 tail holds much better than the CX, so the tail is fairly solid through the whole pack. Not such a big deal, flying the tail is easy once you get used to it, you don't even notice yourself doing it.

I started out with a CX back in August, and I love it. Even though I now have a simulator and a nearly-flying T-Rex, I still use my CX quite a bit.

It's nice to have a low-stress heli that can be used indoors when the weather sucks.

i love my cx2 also. my biggest problem is the small area i have to fly in. the other problem is it flies in the proverbial toilet pattern. i have played with the gyro, but it still toilets. i think it could be turbulence though. it's better at my friends house. he has more room to fly in. could it be the motors are getting worn out? being that they aren't a open brush motor i can't adjust the tension on the brushes. i wish there was a brushed motor upgrade. i do have the upgraded motors from bladecxpro.com they have cooling holes, and are claimed to be a speed upgrade ta boot. i need to get some heat sink paste then i'll install them with my heat sink. maybe that will help.

i just had a bad experience. i was flying, and i lost reception to the heli. i had 5.6 volts at the radio, but the rotors kept spinning, so i as fast as i could stopped the blades, and unpluged the battery. letting it cool now. will pop in another battery, and see what happens.

even with the problems i have i still love this heli, and would recommend it to everyone. i'm getting a century hawk pro next week when i get my tax return in hand.
