I have a DX7 with the AR7000 RX, why is everyone using the AR6000 RX?
The AR7000 is quite small already or is there something else that I am not aware of?
Just curious, as I would like to save some money hahaha.

Yes, you can. I set up one of our local fliers with a DX7 and AR7000 and it works quite well in his 450SE. I also transferred his other 5 T-Rexes and 2 HDX450s to work with the DX7 and the AR6000s that he had installed in those machines. He sold his DX6. Everyone is using the DX6 because it was the first spread spectrum radio available, it is less expensive, and it is adequate. I suspect that you will begin to see a lot more 450 size helicopter using the DX7.

Alot of folks are probably using the AR6000 because the AR7000 is $95US new (www.readyheli.com doesn't charge shipping on orders over $75 so shipping isn't a concern).

Thanks Bob and Jermo, I was thinking from a technical point of view and not economical. I am looking forward to setting up a nice little Trex with this fancy new radio, now if I could just figure out which 450 to buy.

Dead head over to the newbie section (we're technially all newbies), that question has been answered more than who's in Grants tomb.

I got the AR6100 for mine...it supports the new DSM2 technology. I saved the AR7000 for my nitro.
