I`ll got a 35mhz module for my 3810 tx and a synthesized pcm receiver.
I`ve heard somewhere that the tx module with work with the other JR non synthesized pcm receivers that I have.
It would be good if it did as it would mean not changing the module over between flying my TRex 450 and TRex 600.
Any one any ideas?

Hey,

Yes, the JR synthesised Tx. module will work with normal crystalised JR receivers if thats what you mean? I have a 9XII I use for my flight school and that regularly controls other peoples models with crystalised Rx's. All you do is dial in the frequency, I would then perform a range check to be sure and away you go.

Like wise synth. Rx's will work with normal crystalled Tx. modules as well if need be. Just program in the frequency as you would to the Rx.

It is known the synth modules are more powerful than the stock tranny modules, which is good to know.

Thanks Ian thats exactally what I meant.
I have a couple of PCM R900s`s and an R770S as well as the synth RS77S so that will be ideal.

Hey,

Your welcome.

Luckily JR kept the back compatability option in their new synth range so as to allow us modellers to carry one using existing equipment with the newer technology. It's a good facility to have nowadays with more and more people joining clubs etc. that way if your frequency is taken you can easily switch.

Can I use the TX module also to switch between 72 and 40 MHz ?

As for the RX, I assume it anyway needs to be changed ?

Hey,

Yes, to transmit on 72 or 40mhz band all you do is change the Tx. module for one of the stated bands and obtain a receiver to suit.
The US run on 72mhz and to my knowledge 40mhz (In UK for sure) is solely for land based craft, eg. cars, boats etc. and cannot be used for airbourne craft.

Most of Europe is 35 mhz and 40 mhz for aircraft.
Yes Japan is 40 mhz and 72 mhz. But you only have 10 72 mhz available in Japan. Here in the USA we have 50 72 mhz frequencies available.

Here is the worldwide frequency chart from FAI.
