View Full Version : Stupid Question #2 - Frequency Allocation

Please bear with me, it's been many years since I competed at the Nats and the frequency set up was much different.

I was looking at the Nats entry form and noticed the frequencies assigned to each helicopter class. Okay so far.

But there is also a listing of "unassigned" frequencies at the bottom and these happen to be the 6-meter Ham frequencies that I use. Does this mean I can fly any of these in my chosen class?

Thanks,

Ron

Unassigned– 53.2, 53.3, 53.5, 53.6, 53.8, 01, 04, 05, 07, 08

Yes those channels are available for helicopter. There is a few amatuer radio license holders that do compete and us those freqs also.

Mostly the F3C pilots use the ham frequencies.

David,

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, one of my module sets is on 53.7, so I'll have to adjust a few things if I bring that heli to Muncie.

Take care,
