I have a new Swift 16. I have a JR500T on tail with DS 810 servo. This combo seems very fast. I started out as the instr. for the 5ooT said with the output on servo arm at 16-18 mm range and it was too much the tail swung back and forth. reduce gain to 65% that helped but instr. say I should be at least 80 to 90 for hover so,,,,, move in 1 hole. Did that and could raise the gain but still shook back and forth when quickly stopping a rudder command. I moved in again. I have gain at around 80% now in hover but still shows a little swinging / overtravel on a quick rudder command.Do I and how far in towrds center of servo horn should/can I go? The Swift has a large amount of throw by the way. I have it at less than max l/r on the limiter pot. Is this more like a GY401 where you should put the output close to center of the servo horn? On My TREXs you need to put the output ball in close to the center.

it's more of a servo speed/resolution problem. It won't be fixed by messing around w/ the
gain or ball location

This gyro/digital servo set-up seems extremely fast and accurate. I think that given the amount of throw that the Swift 16 has the servo is just too fast when in the outer holes and the heli is trying to cathch up to the servo. I'm going to test with higher gain Thurs. (90% or more) in hover and see how it reacts as I have it now. I've moved in 2 holes from suggested set-up. This is approx. 11.5 mm from center. If I can't get the gain comfortably above 82-85% then I'll try in one more.

I'm sure you're right.

Didn't move the ball link again. At 90% gain tail would oscillate back and forth after a rudder command. Reduced back to 80% mostly gone away. Reduced to 75% and tail holding well in hoveroscillations gone on quick rudder changes. 70% in idle up2 tail held through backwards loop starting from a tailslide. I gusess I'll play with it a little more but it seems to be doing what I want right now. Thanks.
