Awesome vid Matt! I like the flying style, smooth transitions and moves.
I was sort of anticipating a close up shot of the frame though............

Thanks Will ! Pilot 'X' is turning into a machine and I'm stealing moves all the time (thats why I video the flights).
We couldn't find anything we didn't like about how the frames handle. This is a 1st prototype so no pics are leaking out just yet. I will however bring it to Las Vegas for the FF, so you may see something after that.
Charlie is always working on designs to keep costs down for the end users and listens to what they want. I like that philosophy. The frame design reflects that, simple parts count, using most of the original frame parts with the motor being moved up top.
I hope to see an "SE" version soon.
We both flew it it on 8s and 10s, no ill effects of the extra weight of the 10s, and the 8s kicks butt as you can see in the vid. :smokin: The FP packs are doing the job nicely.

Definitely looks like you're hanging out with an Alien. Some of the sweetest moves I have ever seen.

Couple quick Qs'
1. Is this the shortened boom and 550 mains or the standard 600 lengths?
2. Is this the frameset by Charlie that is for the 9650 servos or full size?
3. If this is the smaller frame set with shorter boom has this NEU motor & 8S been tested with the original 600 as of yet?
The more I see 8S on the 600 the more it seems like the ticket at no extra weight over the 4900 6S setup but yet some extra voltage it looks like the way to go for those craving abit more. Synergy idea on the canopy is cool and I really like your videos Matt, cool tunes always as well, gj and thanks for sharing man. :D

I agree with you on that one Shawn. 8s seems like all you would ever need on a T-REX. That video ROCKS!!

Shawn,
1. 600 mains standard length boom, all plastic pulleys, original tail w/4mm bearings
2. Its a new design hes playing with, Futaba 9451's
I pulled my 9650's out of the HFE proto for another project, so the 550 is no more. I wanted to test the 2 motors on 600's because most people are running 600's so thats why its back on the V's for the H2H this weekend.
Im getting the production version HFE frames for the 2nd bird and its going back on 600's until I find a set of 550's I like. What I did notice switching from 550's to 600's is I lost about 1 minute of flight time and motor temp jumped up 10-15 deg.
So if all goes well I should have some numbers for ya by Sunday.
Set up will be a Trex swingin' 600 V's, 9451's, 611, Jazz, and 1910/1y vs 1512/2Y on Flightpower 8s bricks with a 4 minute timer.
I'm glad you guys like the videos, Thanks for the support !

Yes, keep up the great test work, I'm switching to 8S once the dust settles between the two NEU motors...
Also keep us informed on the Jazz on 8S, I want that one too.
