Does anyone know if they make a "rubber-duck" style antenna for the 7CHP? If so can you tell me where to buy?

Thanks.

Some good reading. There use to be company that made them for Futaba radios. But I believe they went out of business several years ago.

Here is one that should work.

Thanks PT. I'll check that out. But now I'm torn. David posted a couple of links that make me nervous about the rubber-ducky antennas (in fact I had one fail on a 2M hand held - and it's true you can't "see" it). On the other hand, if I take it off when not using it, it shouldn't suffer much abuse.

Spork,

I think you will find what you need here: http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=5586

As I think you know, I'm a finalist in the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. Once that comes through I'll probably splurge on a DX7. However... there's less and less reason to get one. Now that everyone else has one, I'm the only one for 200 miles with Channel 18.

I read that about the ducks also but went with one anyway.......I've bent, boken so many telescopic antenna's it's not funny....and it doesn't take long for them to get loose.....

I haven't had any problems with my duck, although I don't do any 3d (reads as: still a noob)...and I don't fly my heli 100 yards away either....and I don't have to worry about a broken antenna at the field .....

but I'm a gambling man.....

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll break down and get one. I hate the stock antennas - and I've put up with them for 30 years now.

Still saving my lunch money. I'm the cheapest sonofa***** you'll ever meet. Everytime I get "found" money, like from a traveling per-diem or something, I kind of mark it as "must be spent on toys". Then it ends up adding up to thousands of dollars and I just leave it in the bank. Meanwhile I spent about an hour soldering the good cells of two lipo packs together to make one good pack last night, and I still haven't sprung for the rubber ducky antenna.

I need to get that sweet unemployment deal like ****** and start living large. I'll be doing piro-flips in my living room with my nitro 90 - right through my giant plasma screen - yeeeee - HA!

It's a bizarre form of masochism, you get a little thrill every time you deprive yourself of a perfectly reasonable indulgence. I'll be the heli-groupies are very disappointed. :dontknow

Are you refering to my stalker? She doesn't mind.

On the other hand I have about a quarter of my life savings invested with an emotionally unstable ex-con that's building houses in Southern CA. So I guess I do throw money around sometimes.
