HI everyone, I'm a new owner of a CB100 and i love it. It has definitely been a huge learning process since it is my very first rc heli. After a few crashes with minor repairs and a couple of stock tail motors i decided to upgrade to the 2.9g tail motor from wowhobbies, since everyone says its the best. I just unpacked it and after looking at the directions it comes with and all the extra wires i realized i have no clue what I'm doing.

First question: In the directions it shows the tail esc with an extra plug that goes into the splitter which then goes to the battery. My tail esc does not have that connector. Do i need a new tail esc to make this work?

Second question: The extra long red wires coming from the motor. Is it okay that they are all touching? It looks like the red is actually a cover for each individual wire, but I'm not sure...

I have the basics down as far as repairs go. I pretty much learned everything I know from this forum and i'm confident with my soldering skills to get this done, but i need some help before i put this bird back together. any help would be very much appreciated. I really just want to get her back in the air so i can start having fun again...:noteworthy

Hey mtk

I haven't replaced my stock tail motor... yet. But I have rewired the wires on the tail motor. What i did with the stock connection from the tail motor I cut it off and soldered the wire (outside of the tail boom) directly to the tail esc.The wires can be touching as long as you have heat shrink covering the soldered connections.

Hope this helps you!

The wires coming from the motor have a thin coating on them so no they aren't "touching" . Which receiver does your CB100 have? if it has the RX2436 then you can just remove the stock tail motor at the rotor end (i.e. desolder the wires from the stock setup) Install the bracket and the 2.9g motor.

Thanks. I got it back together, but I think I got the wires in the wrong order because the motor is spinning in the wrong direction:arggg: The heli is just spinning out of control counter-clockwise. Im going to try and change them around and see if that works.

Actually just flip the plug going into the ESC.
