View Full Version : metal head and blade grip upgrade help

Hi all.I just put a TDR cnc head and grip set on my evo50.I'm using a Quick spindle shaft instead of stock spindle .i'v had to leave out the stock spacer between the grip and the head to prevent binding.When the spindle nuts are installed.So getting to the point. I have three queistions. Is the stock spindle longer than a quick spindle?Will leaving out the stock head to grip spacers cause premature grip bearing wear?And last has anyone else put the TDR cnc head on thier evo50? Any help would be very helpfull. thanks Ray

sorry pics suck need a better camera
A friend of mine used the TDR Freya head,
he said it was sloppy and removed it
The Sceadu grips are a lot more sloppy than the Freya so maybe this will be ok
The QuickUK spindle is the same size and the Hirobo one,
so maybe the problem is precision machining of the head parts...

I;v since turned the feathering spindle nuts all the way on then backed them off a little.seems perfect now I'm sure i didnt have the dampner or grip bearings seated all the way.Now as soon as the weather warms up( -9 ) right now I'll take her up for a test flight.
