Fellow Blade CP Pro pilots, what color are your servos?
Mine are blue, why I do not know. The LHS that I purchased
the Pro from stated that they should be gray.
I had a small crash that didn't seem to bad as it was just
the tips of the blades that got dinged up, well I found out
that a servo was stripped out also. When I went to buy
another servo from my LHS I was told that I have HeliMax
servos??? What the F? Now I cannot fly until I track down
some of these servos as my LHS said that with my setup
I cannot use the gray servos as they work opposite the blue
servos??
Anyways, I thought I would just take a quick poll as to how
unlucky I am as to have the blue servos.

Thanks,
DeadTom

As far as I know, all Blade CPs come with S-75 servos and only the case color is changed between 'em. Looking at E-Flite's web page, it has pics of the CP Pro with both the blue and smoke colored servo cases.

I'm interested to know why the LHS says you can't use the other servos because they work "opposite" of the other.. Um, that's what servo reversing switches are for...

I intalled HS55s on my Blade (HB CP2) and the CCPM was all screwed up. I searched the forums and found that I had to rewire the servos to make them rotate in the proper direction (opposite stock). A computer radio will prevent you from having to do this but if you stay with the stock transmitter, aftermarket servos may turn the wrong direction. Rewiring the servos isn't as simple as it sounds. The case has to be disassembled and four wires inside need to be reversed.

My bad, it was late and I was looking at another heli in my little fleet of helis and for some reason the blue color stuck in my mind when I went to purchase another servo.
So, I apologize for the added confusion.
As Rhumba555 said, if you stay with the stock controller there is no way of reversing the servos without rewiring the servo. That is what my LHS was eluding to when he said that the other servos will not work.
I guess I could install my new DX7, but I was saving that for a new machine.
Thanks for your help.

Hey Dead Tom,

Off topic but when did Ian Malcolm say that quote in Jurrassic Park? I must have missed it! I Love those movies!

Rhumba,

Ian said that line when the group reached the island and they all started out to get in the vehicles for their tour of the park.
I love those movies also.
Time to spool the movie up.
