Does anybody tried to get rid of the inner part of the Raptor stock paddles to make them smaller/lighter???
I have a R60 and I was thinking is this is a feasible/not stupid thing to do or would I be risking something here?
I know... someone is going to say buy the green ones, but I can't get anything here and I just thought of this...

i was instructed to just not install them once.. but I never did. I bought v-paddles, but if someone said I could, so can you.

not to install the paddles? Does not sound right to me. The paddles area mechanical gyroscope that helps stabilize the bird. If you remove them, you would have to have additional electronic gyros.........

You don't have to have the gyros to fly flybarless, but It's a handful without them. A few posts down you can see pics of my R50 that just went flybarless w/gyros.
It's the proper size and weight combination that'll provide you the cyclic response you are looking for. Just trimming the stock paddles might not get you the results you want.
Since I've gone flybarless, I've got a set of green paddles that I'll give you if you PM me your address. You should be able to accept regular AIR Mail, no? :D

I didn't notice in ferincr's post that he's got an R60. Will the green paddles from my R50 work for him?
