Anyone with this combo care to share how they are triggering the gain on the AP2000I system? On my 9303 I use the slider on the right side, is there a slider on the DX7?

I am fighting with myself on a major radio debacle right now, after tests over the past weekend I had tooo many glitches on the AP2000, found a few things and fixed them and dropped my count from 52 to 2 Phew... but I am still greatly concerned about glitching in general.

I am looking into the XPS stuff but they are still suffering from massive delays, and I can get my hands on a DX7 pretty quick. Was thinking of selling off my DX6102 and JR 9303 to sync with one single radio, the DX7 also has a feature i really really like for people like me, it has a model select feature that will not allow you to control a helicopter if it not the correct model setup in the TX, so if I fly my 450 for fun and then have to run to a shoot and try to take off it wont let me till I select my logo model in the TX, with the 9303 and the XPS I wouldn't have this feature.

Any input is greatly appreciated as usual

To sell or not sell that is the question that will keep me up till the wee hours of the AM.....

here is an interesting tidbit from the XPS guy on the XPS forums

"As long as the 2.4GHz video transmitter's antenna is located at least 8" away from the XPS receiver, it should work fine."

The DX7 doesn't have a slider but it does have at least one knob available. I don't have my radio in front of me, but I'll check it out.

Hey Gary - which DX7 do you have? I have the heli version and there are no knobs that I can see. There are 2 rocker switches, but in heli mode these are set for hover pitch and hover throttle - no way to re assign these as far as I can tell. In aircraft mode they can be assigned to a channel to provide proportional control.

Cryofix - I'm facing the same deli ma. The DX7 doesn't even have a 3 position switch in heli mode (the only 3 position switch is used for normal/idle 1/idle 2). The best solution I can come up with is to use 2 switches and mixing to produce at least 3 different gains.

Hopefully someone has a better solution....

Cant you just use the toggle for gear or aux2? whichever you are not using for your gyro gain.

you could but you dont want to have to go into your radios setup while flying to adjust the gain setting on the AP2000, if you had an external knob you could easily do it without taking your eyes off it.

no knob, although I wish. just use a switch, zero, and 30 percent gain. coming from my 14mz, it's shameful, but it works.
