Default CG750 and Receiver Choice

I am a bit confused as to what will and what will not be supported when using the 750. I know it is an S-Bus device and will support the new S-Bus Receivers, which will make for a super simple and neat installation.

My question is will there be support for non S-Bus receivers ? I have heard both yes and no but can not find any concrete info as to support on the non SB receivers.

Does anyone know for sure?
Trying to budget for this and need to know whether I need a new RX or can use my current 8ch

I know from the 750 out, it supports both SB and non SB servos as long as they are digital.

Thanks!

Dale

>> Unequivocally yes. Their will be a PWM adpater.

Does anyone know for sure?

>>You will be able to use your current receiver, but the 6203SB is very affordable ($80) and super small. It's a worthwhile investment if your pocketbook can stand it.

Futaba has said that there will be an optional black box available at the same time the CGY750 is released that will allow any receiver to be used. I have not seen a cost but Futaba intends on supporting all receivers.

S-Bus will be a cleaner and simpler instillation and since I fly Futaba anyway that’s what I will use. Futaba will also have a new smaller S-Bus receiver that will be perfect for small airplanes and helicopters.

OK, it did take some specific searching but I did find some info on the 6203SB. Given that the cost of an adapter to go between my current RX and the 750 will be at least 30-70 dollars (guessing) it is a no brainer to go with the 6203SB if it is in the 80 dollar range. The only RX I had seen was in the 150 dollar range which seemed silly. For the 319 for the 750 + 150 for another RX, I would probably just do a MB @ 200 for now as I have plenty of RX for my 8FG (-:

The 6203SB looks nice. (I was making my decisions on what was listed on Futaba's website as to what was available for this project.)

Thinking I will wait it out for the 750 + 6203SB.

Thanks for the info guys!

Dale

That R6203SB is amazing. A micro 18 channel receiver that is designed for 2s LiPo.

Governor is built into the cgy750, just ditch the backplate sensor.

Although the gov is integrated into the 750, you will still have to have a sensor for it to work. It will plug into the "Rsen" connector. I assume that the backplate sensor will be an option for use with the 750 but have yet to see a list of what all sensors will be supported.

Thanks, Thats what I needed to know. I hope that either the align gov sensor and or the ar7100 sensor will adapt somehow. I sure hope the DX7 compatibility works out.

Futaba's is not out yet even though the GY701 manual eludes to using one. If you can't wait this is the one I have been using with two GV-1s and will use with the 701 if Futaba's is not out soon, Crank Pin Sensor and bracket. It is a Spektrum 7100R. You also need the cable at the bottom of the page.

Will the governor have an "E" mode for electric helicopters?

I believe that several of the Futaba team pilots have been testing this already. So, yes.

What’s the real story on shipping dates? Some say that there will be a few shipped at the end of February, some say none until late March, and some say it’s now delayed until April.

?

i just hooked up the sb rx to my 701 and i have to say that if serial bus rocks. it is one wire to the gyro and all functions work perfect 5 channels on one connector plug and play. all of the functions work. there is no reason not to use the sb if you have the rx..
thanks for the info on the backplate sensors

Sorry for the slight OT, do you know if the Aluma FX adapter will work with a non Spektrum backplate sensor, ie multigov pro sensor and the like?

I have only used the Spektrum back plate sensor. Did not know that multigov had a back plate sensor. But I did a quick google search and the spektrum works directly with the multigov so I would assume that if it works directly with the multigov that it would need the adapter cable for the GV-1 and GY701.

Futaba has just announced their backplate sensor due out the end of May but it looks like it will only work with special backplates for the OS55-R and OS91HZ-R. Unless they come out with some other mounting options between now and then.

Sorry for the confusion, the multigov sensor is not a backplate sensor, it's a "conventional" fan/bell magnets sensor

Thanks for the answer!

Spektrum/Multigov/Revmax are interchangable, Align needs a pin/wire change
