The hurricanes have really made a mess of things in Florida. Duralite has been affected some, so they're going to be running a bit slow until they get sorted.
Don't worry, their service is second to none. You WILL get your stuff, and I'll be willing to bet money that you're going to LOVE it.
I have a 2800 pack and regulator from them and it's been GREAT so far. I do have to send my regulator back to them, I crashed and one lead pulled out of the regulator, I took the shrink wrap off and installed a new lead myself and I think I may have heat damaged something on the regulator while soldering the new lead on. Jack sent me a RMA form but I'm holding off sending it until they have a chance to fully recover from the hurricanes.
So far my experience with Duralite has been nothing but positive. I'm sure yours will be too, this just happens to be a particularly nasty time for businesses in Florida.

I just got off the phone with Duralite on an unrelated matter and I mentioned that you were wondering about your order SC. Rachelle told me that they have been without power for 4 days in Florida and that whole part of the state virtually shut down. She was very apologetic and said that due to the shutdown that they are running about 4 days behind. She also said everyone that ordered through the website should have gotten an email explaining the delay.
They will take care of you SC. I run duralites in all my machines and I love the way they work. You will to. :)
Hang in there a little longer and they will come.

Even thou the offices for Duralite are in western Canada. All the items are assembled in Fort Walton Beach Florida. Hurricane Ivan came ashore about 70 miles west of Fort Walton Beach. There is major damage all along the gulf coast from Panama City back to Mobile Bay. Fort Walton is located about the middle of those locations. I would hope that the Ft Walton facility will be up and running soon and getting Duralite products out.

That explains why my bankcard payment went to Canada BC .Hopefully they did not loose my order in the storm , thats just my luck :arggg: . I did not know where they was in Fla so I did not know if the storm caused a shutdown . Thanks for checking :)

Give Jack or Rachelle at Duralite a call. They will be able to tell you the status of your order and if it has shipped. All the Duralite products are shipped from Fort Walton Beach, Fla. They call the order in the Florida facility when they receive an order.

I usually charge after I fly so then all my stuff is ready to go next time out. Sometimes I get lazy or forget and the packs are still fine to fly next time I go out. I have not had to field charge anything since I went with Duralites. :D
Your going to love them!! Very simple and easy to use. Great customer service!!

charge after you get home from flying -- that way if you are ready to go at a moments notice.

I just got my new battery today that they shipped on 09/28. My repaired regulator was supposed to have shipped several days prior to that but they didn't read the letter that I sent with the items giving the new address and they shipped it to my old office address (moved 3 months ago). Have no idea when I will get the regulator so can't use anything. Local PO says they have nothing in our forwarding bin. Also asked in the letter to have a second black connector added to the battery pack but battery came with just one black and one yellow.
My experience with Canada has been VERY GOOD. With the Florida location, I would just say not real great.

Not at all the regulators with the swtich are the failsafe regs. The ones without a switch you use a regular (i use JR) switch inline with.

Congrats on your new Duralite Purchase SC Raptorman. You will wonder how you flew w/o them. Just be sure to follow the directions closely, always check w/a load between flights, don't go below 6.9 w/1amp load, and unplug the charger after charge is complete. One other thing....Make sure the regulator can "breathe" to dissipate heat. (Don't wrap it up in foam because it gets a little hot!)
Happy Flying!
