First off I'm using the Vbalance with a Astro 109 & the balancer always cuts the charge before the 109 is finished. Is the cut off a little more sensitive on the V? I've had the display give me 2 diferent warnings when this happens. 1 is an overvoltage warning & the other I believe is a battery fail warning. I've unpluged a pack from the balancer while charging & I see the volts on the display start climbing till it reaches its max so I can see it happening when the V cuts the LINK

Is this what the rest of you using the Vbalancer on other chargers are getting as well?

Is it possible to hook the pack to the charger, then hook up the balance leads to the balancer & start the LINK & not charge through it but still use the balancer, Kinda like the 210 works??

Thanks

OK Couldn't wait to see if anyone else has experimented with this so I'm giving it a try as I speak.
The battery (FP4900) is plugged into the charger with only the balance leads hooked to the Vbalancer. The LINK arrows are lit & its balancing the pack as it charges. By keeping the LINK established the balancer continues its balance monitor going even when the cells are balanced during the charge & doesn't turn off after a few seconds. This will allow the charger to give the pack its full charge. Granted it wont stop the charger if it reads an over voltage or a cell way out of balance but hey were supposed to be watching these things right!

As soon as the charge is complete I'll post the results for those interested.

You can also charge through the V-Balance module and it will work great as well.

How is the 600 flying Steve?

Ya I've been charging through it but it cuts the charger off premature & gives a battery Overvoltage fault on the display. If you don't have your eyes on the ball you don't know if the balancer cut it off or if something was wrong??? I've also checked the battery's charged through the Vbalancer have about 300 mill lower voltage at rest than ones I charged with out going through the balancer (but balance leads hooked up) & I want to put all in there I can get!!

I finally got the 600 out in the back yard for a few test hovers & all is looking good. Wish the weather would get a little better so we can get together & burn some electrons!!
