Today i was trying to tune my engine on my Stratus.

When i notice somthing weird.

I notice when i mount the canopy on, everything seems to slow down. Like my tic toc rate, RPM lower and etc.

But when i take off the canopy, my RPM seems to get higher and things seems to be faster.

My canopy weight is 200grams.

Could it be because of the heavy canopy or not enough air is going into the cub. when the canopy is on ?

:dontknow

Never seen a canopy affect RPM of the rotors. The canopy does quiet the model down some. The gear and engine noise are supressed a little when the canopy is installed.
You sure the canopy is not touching the throttle linkage?
Have you tached the rotor head to confirm that there is a difference?

A canopy on the helicopter will make it feel a bit slower- I agree with you there. I guess it's a combination of air resistance and an extra seven or eight ounces of weight on the helicopter. Your RPM's shouldn't change tho...
