Hello ,
My problem with the 24T pinion was i had to go has low as 60% on the Jazz to be in the 2600 rpm area. But i understood that the HS you have depends of the load on the rotor at sool up. In fact you will always have the same head speed only if you always have the same load on the main rotor. That’s why Kontronik said to spool up with 0° pitch.

So I was on the idea the Jazz was not in the best efficiency area with 60% until then. But I read again the avices from castle creation: find the good pinion to have the good head speed in hover with 75% on the ESC, without the gov mode. According the ESC is 100% only at full stick with normal throttle stick...

Since i have the progcard for the Jazz, program it is very easy for me. So i tried a throttle curve at 0%; 25%, 75%, 75%, 75% with the 24T and a batt already used in hover, just before, for 1’15’’ to lower a little bit the voltage. And I had 2300 RPM with 75%. 2400 RPM with 80%. I had to stop there since the guy holding the optical tach had to go. But I’m very probably in the 85-90% range to have 2600 rpm in hover. So it looks i got the good pinion for this head speed and % gov mode means nothing (except with Schultze ESC that always gives you the same headspeed whatever the batt voltage being low or not, blades pitch etc). The only thing curious is that i can catch 3000 rpm with this pinion in gov mode and 85%. According to the above results it’s a head speed that should be hard to have…

Depends on your battery and motor also...
