Can anyone using this combo help me with the proper settings in SmartPropoPlus, the PPJoy mapping, and how they have the controller set up in Clearview? I've been beating my brains out. :arggg: I'll end up getting the aileron and elevator to work but the throttle and rudder functions give me fits. I can't get the throttle to respond well at all and when I do move the throttle, every other control goes haywire and moves all over the place. :dontknow I bought a trainer cable for my DX6 and hook it up in my microphone jack on my Toshiba laptop. I believe i have all the correct versions of the software needed. Thanks.

good luck i to had sever issues trying to get clearview/dx6/cable and smartpropo/ppjoy to work, i think some people may have gotten it to work properly, but i couldnt for the life of me, thats why i ended up ordering a "real" sim.
just like with our true life toys you get what you pay for it seems.

It sounds like the model on your TX is using a CCPM type swash. Set it to 1 Servo Normal.

A few things to try:
1) Make sure your DX6 is turned OFF before you plug in the cable to trainer port. Plugging in the cable will automatically power-up the DX6 without the RF section. If you have the power switch on it won't work.
2) Create a fresh model on your Tx with no sub-trim , no trim, no expo, no d/r, 100% endpoints on all channels. You can use a Plane model or a Heli model but if it is Heli, ensure that REVO is off and CCPM is off.
3) Follow the installation and calibration instructions for SmartPropoPlus
4) Always launch the SmartPropo console before running ClearView
5) Run ClearView and use the Controller Setup dialog to assing your channels.
I found SmartPropoPlus annoying so I switched to a USB cable from milehighwings.com and it has been great.
Good luck.

Quick update folks. I ordered the USB cable from MileHighWings and, finally! :smokin: This is a great cable and I recommend it highly to anyone having a hard time with the PPJoy software interface. Many thanks kgfly for nudging me in the right direction. I'm now enjoying some sim time with Clearview and my DX6 TX. :D :D :D

Hey great to hear that you solved your problems :)
For others, I have found a cheaper USB cable here: http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=GWFSM002B
I have not tried it myself but this is a reputable seller with whom I have spent thousands of dollars. They have similar cables for Futaba, Hitec and Esky Tx.
