I have a brand new GV-1 sitting here that I bought for the Razor before I found out my HV85 had a gov mode. Is there any reason or advantage to using it on the Razor?

Not at all, that would be a step back imho. Use the governor in your 85HV. If you have concerns on how to do it properly watch Clints video on this forum on how to do it, it explains it exactly.

I have the HV85 set up pretty good, and Clint's video's are a big reason why! I was just wondering about the GV-1.
