Hi Guys!

New to Bergen and after a few years away back in choppers!

I drove over to visit Chris on saturday and spend some time reviewing Bergen and the Intrepid!
My time was not wasted! Chris was kind enough to show me through the plant (after helping get me out of a snow drift, what a guy!).
They are total quality with yet a very family environment. You want it, they have it in stock, I saw it, what a great place!
Chris took the time to go over the kit with me, had it all laid out for review. We went through every part in detail (helpful for me being away for awhile) I got many tips that will help the build, and can really see that He is committed to his business. Met his family as well, they fixed lunch for us all.
Am into building as we speak, really working towards the turbine, what a bird, we would have flown it had it not been zero and white out conditions!
Look forward to getting this one together!

Thanks for all of your time and effort Chris!

You're very welcome Tom, Glad you made it home OK. When you get her built and ready to go, come on back up and we'll get it dialed in.

So far, the weather has NOT improved, continued whiteout conditions all day today. On the way in to the shop this morning the bank showed -6 degrees out!!

It looks better for next weekend, so maybe I'll be able to finish those test flights that have been hanging around for a couple of weeks.....

I will look forward to heading back over. Ordered the JR 10X today with 8311's and 2000 receiver. Should be rock solid!
Will let you know in advance when I am coming!

Wow thats really cool that you can go to a company and hang out and get lunch to boot. Nowadays so many companys are faceless names and a customer support number if that much. If I could afford a Bergen Id get one on triggins comments alone.

There's no doubt that a better company doesn't exist. I've been there twice myself. If anything, I'd say they spent too much time with me! And if that isn't enough, their helis rule! Got an EB now and can't wait to get something else.

Rotten lack of capitol

Tom...sorry I missed ya...I was there on Thursday and Friday working some changes on the E-Magnum I have been playing with...

But yes it is great to be able to go to the actual place the machine is manufactured at...You are also treated like family when you are there!

And this isn't the once in awhile deal ,, I live with in 1 hour of the Bergens and have known them for a long time now and work within 1/2 hour and drop in many times a yr and the deal is always the same ,,, tour of what is new in the plant ,and Larry's specail truck projects and a meal if time allows.
You just don't get that every where any more ,,,, Thanks Bergen family for being a special family and business that meets our hobby needs,, not just takes our money !!!

Hey Guys:

This is one of the nicest kits with simple instructions and definately a low parts count, necessity, not overboard additions, as a person who has built full size aircraft, this is very refreshing. Have ordered the JR10x radio and servos, have the 401/9254, and on arrival of radio gear, hopefully in when I return to the states later this week, will get it built up.
Have built all sub assemblies, and have all items organized to go back through for build up. Cannot wait to get it completed and head over to see Chris to get an expert eye to assure all is well.

Great Kit, Engineering excellence is not always measured by complexity and count!

Chris and his dad are definately super guys. I also had the pleasure to visit them in the "middle of nowhere" when I was on a business trip with my wife in Chicago. We drove down this long road off the highway for quite some time until finally we saw the "Entering Cassapolis" sign and my wife loved the slogan "home of the inventor of cat litter". 1/2 a mile later we were at a T and not sure to turn right or go straight so I went straight and 1/2 a mile later "leaving Cassapolis City limits" sign. Ooops. Must have needed to turn right. Back to the BIG intersection in town (does it qualify as a town? :) ) and turn left and a short ride and we are at the "city limits" sign again. However this time I saw the street for the Bergen shop and we managed to get there no problem.

Chris took the time to tour me around the plant and show me all the goodies and shelves with stock parts. Man its quite a modeler's dream being in there! Met the family, kids, and saw his Dad as well. I like the looks of the Turbine and before I knew it we were outside test flying it. Chris took it for a little circuit around and then passed the controls onto me for a flight. WOW! Where do you get that kind of hospitality!?! I did a little hovering and then some circuits and time flew while Chris and Larry talked about how smooth it looked in the background. All of a sudden she was coughing and I go "oh oh" while they say "bring it back" and I say "no I'm autoing in right there". Nice auto I set down beautifully as she died. The turbine was auto cooling when we got there and too much fun the fuel had run out! Too bad as I was loving flying it and it was a super smooth ship! In the hands of a good pilot you can fly it like its on rails!!

In any case I agree with everyone great bunch of guys and the hospitality is 2nd to none! If any of you guys get the chance to visit, I'm sure Chris will make you feel super welcome!!
