Your right Jeroen.... Title changed.

I gotta say all this SUCKS but I understand why this happened. I support RC-Tek for the reasons they asked me to pull these... I have a 1/2 built heli that I would have liked to finish for everyone to enjoy and would have on my own had the heli been available here in the US easily.

Again all... Sorry about this.

Bob, could you tell us more about issues between RCTec and manufacturer? I was just going to try to persuade my wifey that we don't need to buy that much of food and redirect that cash flow to Dragonus :) And it would be from RCTec..... :(

man this sucks. It's like watching a movie getting up to pee and missing the end you always want to see the end. Bob you are a good guy and you are doing it right and when (if) everything gets fixed I will see the end of that movie thanks for the vids. I guess you should do a video on how not to crash in the mud. LOL burn up my motor there was mud in it after the last crash I just did not catch it and spooled up. I was going to use that as a resson to get a Dragonus II. So I guess I need to buy a motor any suggestions. I have been flying the Align but I want a little more power (higher head speed) thanks again BOB.

Align is coming out with a new motor called the 430XL and I got a chance to try it... WOA! Awesome power and I cant wait to get a production unit. You do loose 1 minute of flight time though. I went from 6 minutes to 5.

I'm ok with that I have 10 paks so that's fine when is it coming out and should I just pick up a stock one for now?

Every story has 2 sides, whatever we have read so far basicly from Scott's side, it would be nice if we can get the story from RCer's side.

Well that sucks, was looking forward to seeing the remaining vids but what can you do? Sure was a lot of drama over on the rcg thread  . Still, thanks for the vids that made it out there!

Have you been able to finish putting yours together? Just wondering if you had any further thoughts on the build or the heli in general? I ordered an Elite from rc-tek last week, hopefully it will be here tomorrow and I can get started on it.

Finless,

Next time you agree to do a donated heli you should make them agree that you own the video and that you keep them posted as long as you or the site wishes. Your doing the work you should have ownership. If I was a rich guy I'd send you a Dragonus

Is that all it would take? I could buy one send it to you Bob and you could use mine for the build vids.I would love to own a heli Bob built it would make a great addition to my fleet. And you own the vids. you can keep them posted as long as you want. :D

I was thinking the same thing.

I went to get the build videos today - as I was just about ready to buy one... and I wanted to have them handy for when I started on it.

I still want the Dragonus - if only for the adjustable head. I was going to set it up for my beginner/ intermediate flying abilities.

Bob - if you want - I will have it sent to you - and we can get this back on track.

Thanks!!

Yep... this is a lessons learned for me! I plan to put this in my terms next time for sure!

In fact I am going to discuss with Scott pulling his sponsored banner and posting them again... lot of work to do this but the public wants is regardless of the business side PLUS I want to do them for you all!!!! Thats my real passion.

Stay tuned...

Bob,

Personally i want to see the build videos finished and get your final build/ flying impressions.

No matter what the intercompany hassle it seems to be a nice heli (to me and but i'm just a newb)

i would love to know what an experienced non biased, one of the guys helicopter pilot thinks of it and you my friend fit the bill.

Hi Everyone,
First, please allow me to apologize if any of you feel short changed by recent events. My decision to disassociate ourselves with the Dragonus II was a very hard and costly one to make, but should at the very least demonstrate how bad things got for us. :arggg:

We cannot and will not support a manufacturer that we do not trust 100% (regardless of how much we like the product).

With that said, RC-TEK is still working on a plan with Finless so he can continue with his video series and provide you with the videos you want while at the same time protecting our hard earned interests. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid the "business factor" in these situations, but I am sure something will be worked out.

To all those that still support us during this time of transition; thank you.

Regards,
Scott Booth
RC-TEK Ltd.

Hi Scott,

Basically Finless owns the copyrights to the Video - that is the copyright law. He produced it (created it), and he thus owns it. Unless you have a document that states otherwise, there is not a legal issue here.

He actually can just remove your sponsorship graphic - and go on with it.

He is being forthright, in respecting your donation of the heli for these videos... so all you need to do here, is step up to the plate.

This would be a good time for you to show your "good faith" to all of us - and allow this to proceed.

If you are trying to find an angle for your company - then all we are seeing on the outside looking in - is more of the same.

Can we trust you to make the right decision for us - or for you?

Thanks!!

Brent

Sorry to see such a nice heli won't have any US support. I was looking at this heli for a while and decided to wait and see if the big name hobby stores would be carrying parts for them. I am glad I waited now even though it looks like the D2 would have been a awesome heli.

I am still very interested to hear Bob's opinion on the heli after it has been flown.

Good new folks.... I discussed with Scott from RC-Tek and with agreement to changr the intro banner he agreed to allow me to report the videos.

Now I gotta say Scott thinks of the customer first really.... he has NO GAIN business wise to allow me to do this. In fact having them posted supports a heli he will not be selling and can take money from his pocket from people buying this instead of his new helis he has coming out. He is doing this fo PLEASE customers. He thinks of customer first I feel and thats a good thing.

Anyway I will have them reposted tonight!

Thanks Scott and I look forward to working with you in the future! You are a QUALITY company and listen to users!

Awesome thanks for working this out, Scott. I ordered a kit from you last week just before this all went down (which got here yesterday, great kit aside from a faulty swash - hopefully that can be worked out).

Even though I will fly this heli for a while, your great customer service will definitely have me going back to your store in the future! - the new helis look great btw.

Looking forward to the rest of the videos Bob! :thumbsup2:
