Hi Bob,
Watched the vids, very helpful, although i purchased my Dradonus II Pro about
2 months ago. I did enjoy building the heli, and I still watched your vids.
The Dragonus II Pro has an excellent centre of gravity, and if the head is set
up correctly it can stay in a steady hover with nearly no stick input at all.
My pitch is setup to +12/-12, I'm currently running HS-56 servos as they gave me
the straightest shot to the swash, But Bob did tell me that he will be making some
spacers and fitting Hs-65 MG's.
I'm downloading the the servo installation now, look forward to seeing it.
Overall the Dragonus II Pro is a great heli, very free running, durable and
manouvers very well.
There is quite a few online sellers selling parts and kits.

Had a little trouble with installing the ESC neatly. It would not fit nicely
in the space provided on top of the battery tray. So I ended up fitting it to
the right side of the frame, just above the skids.

I plan on making a tray to mount the battery like the Trex SE and put the ESC in
the lower tray. With a out runner motor it is too hard to keep the Flight Power 2170 packs from rubbing on the motor... The Align motor will be OK of course but a real out runner will be a problem. Also I dont like the pack that low for 3D flying as the heli has to trow around all that low weight. Anyway this will delay the vids a bit so I can make the batt plate but it will be worth it :)

I ended up placing the esc on the side of my frame as well. My FP 2150's barely fit with the align motor, but I also would prefer to make a tray for the batt and put the esc on the bottom tray. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with Bob!
I braved these crazy winds and maidened mine over the weekend. It handled the wind better than I expected, but was too windy to determine if I needed any trim. Flew really smooth and quiet, I'm impressed! Can't wait for some nice weather :arggg:

I am looking for something off the shelf but I might have to fabricate something from aluminum sheet... If I do I will show how as it shouldnt be hard.

Rcer have already sign a new contract with a local distributor for North American supplier for Dragonus Helis. Hope this will clear the matter....
Points to note, the metal swashplate is nice and sturdy with very minimal play however during intallation of top plate and bottom plate(at manufacturer), there are posibility that the locktite do not cover enough threaded area and it may came out loose. Inspect the swashplate properly prior to installation, make sure it is securely fasten to swash inner race bearing on the bottom plate.
Many flyers choose to do own modification by installing a plate for battery mount ala trex SE, however after i talked to Rcer and sending photos on the modification, they will come with Mod parts for it in the near future.

Hey Bob, I have the dragonus sa that I have been been putting together while using your build vids as a guide, Its my first heli and while everything went together well, once I installed the head, The swash guide shaft bolt head would not fit through the anti rotation upright, I had to remove the swash guide and reinstall it after the head was on........is this ok, once it was installed with no servos or links connected, the swash guide felt notchy or gritty (for lack of better description) when the swash is moved up and down. I tried to tighten and loosen the swash guide bolt but it just doesn't seem smooth enough. What are your thoughts?

Machining of the slot in the guide must be off tollerance a little. I would take a file and fils the edges of the slot to botjh open it up a bit and smooth it out... Shouldnt take long to do!

What last video? I posted setup..... The only video really remaining is flying...
I have shot the ESC setup for the RC-Tek Guard 40 and DN-450 but I havent posted that yet. If you dont have that ESC it wont help you much.
Flying will be this weekend.

Cool... Also, as a side note, we have sold all remaining parts and most of our kits inventory to Terry at Hoverhobbies so we wish him luck and success with the D-II.

Being a relative newby and having got a Dragonus,I'd just like to thank you Bob for the really excellent videos on this bird.
I've just watched the head set up and you've really simplified setting it up,absolutely brilliant tips.
Thanks again,you are the man.
